Tragedy was probably only miraculously avoided, as the school bus caught fire before the children got on it.
The incident occurred while the car was driving on the Peiros dam in the municipality of Erimantia in Achaia. For unknown reasons, a specialized vehicle designed to deliver students, residents of hard-to-reach places, to educational institutions of the district caught fire.
Fortunately, the driver managed to leave the bus, engulfed in flames. The fire destroyed the vehicle in a matter of seconds.
According to tempo24, a school bus was heading to villages to pick up students and take them to schools.
Parents “offered prayers to the Almighty” because they understand what would happen if their children had time to get on that ill-fated bus.
