A recent study by Focus Bari reveals the reason why coronavirus deniers in Greece continue to view the vaccine negatively and flatly refuse to get vaccinated.
According to the study, the proportion of Greeks who received the vaccine shows a steady increase from January to October 2021, and remains constant thereafter, practically unchanged.
Young people are more reluctant to get vaccinated
The picture at the end of 2021 shows that a little more than 4 out of 5 Greeks have already made an appointment and will definitely be vaccinated, while the category of people under 44 shows the highest percentage of “indecisive”, and the stable presence of “anti-Axers” is found in all age groups.
As for the deniers of the coronavirus, the main reason is the refusal to do what they are forced to do (65%), while the rest have doubts about the composition of the vaccine and its effect on health.
In particular:
57% say the vaccine has not been tested or is experimental. 43% say they are afraid of immediate side effects. 14% say they belong to a banned group. 21% say the pandemic is fabricated and misleading. 65% say they do not want to be vaccinated “under pressure”.
The results of the latest Focus Bari study were obtained from December 21 to December 31 in a sample of 1,002 Greeks, aged 18 to 74.
