Chania: young people paid for a homeless person for a hotel room

A group of young people from Chania raised money and booked a hotel room for a homeless person. An exemplary act of solidarity with the needy took place last Saturday, one of the coldest nights in Crete and in the country.

According to reports, the young men approached the homeless person and took him to the hotel, where they booked a room and paid for it.

The action quickly became famous among the local population, and deeply moved local residents rushed to generously offer their help to the elderly homeless person.

It is known that one resident offered to shelter a homeless person for at least three months.

The rest of the inhabitants of Chania offered clothes, bedding and other basic necessities.

As posted on a local Facebook group, the elderly man does not want to visit the homeless institutions of the Chania municipality, where he was offered a job.
