Only by a miracle did the driver of the car escape, in whose eyes a tree trunk collapsed right on the car in motion!
The incident took place on Friday evening (12.10), when the driver was heading from Pyrgos to Kyparissia. The bad weather that gripped the region, especially the western territory of Greece, raged in earnest.
Fortunately, as can be seen in the photographs, the tree fell on the hood of the car, literally flattening it, but the driver himself was not injured. Not believing his eyes and the miraculous salvation, the man got out of the car, hardly realizing what had happened, since literally a split second separated him from imminent death.
The fire brigade in a specialized vehicle, armed with chainsaws, arrived at the scene. At the same time, the civil protection services of the municipality of Kresten arrived at the site. The tree was cut into pieces and removed from the road.
