Within a month, citizens of Greece will have access to a digital driver’s license renewal.
The procedure is simple, in just a few “clicks” it will be possible to renew the driver’s license. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Digital Government Georgios Georgantas. The platform will open in a couple of weeks.
In addition, during the first quarter of 2022, an electronic “reference” for citizens will be put into effect – a register of state administrative procedures, with the help of which they will be able from the very beginning to know the list of necessary supporting documents for considering a case with the state and the body to which it is necessary apply. That will put an end to “misinterpretations” and endless “visits to the authorities” (when once again they ask to bring some more information).
Regarding digital certificates of documents (βεβαιώσεις εγγράφων) and private agreements (ιδιωτικών συμφωνητικών), Mr. Georgantas notes that in just a few days they were requested by 21,500 and 700, respectively.
The deputy minister of digital government details the digitization of services provided to citizens, saying that the platform logo will change soon and the website will be updated to provide more opportunities for the population.
