Callithea: "hoods" attacked the bank

On the night of Saturday to Sunday, November 20-21, unidentified hooded men nearly smashed the bank, trying to smash the glass doors with hammers and sledgehammers.

After the glass “stood”, they fired shots, but also to no avail. After an unsuccessful attempt to enter the bank premises, the criminals fled.

According to law enforcement agencies, the attackers left sledgehammers in place, which were collected by ELAS police who arrived at the scene of the incident. Fingerprints were taken from the guns of the “thugs in the hoods”. The police are reviewing materials from CCTV cameras.

Police sources say hammer and sledgehammer attacks will increase from now on, given that the first pre-trial arrests have already taken place since the entry into force of the new law (criminalizing the use of Molotov cocktails).
