Camels on Madrid avenues

Yesterday, early in the morning, the Madrid police detained unusual violators – camels walked along the streets in the company of a lama.

As reported Air forceciting information from the Madrid police, the animals escaped from the Quiros Circus and went for a walk around the city. Eight two-humped camels, together with a lama, were found by law enforcement officers at 5 o’clock in the morning in the southern Madrid region of Carabanchel.

The head of the circus, Mati Muñoz, where the “safe and sound” animals were delivered by the police, blamed the animal rights activists for the incident – activists every year go out to protests related to the activities of Quiros Circus. He told AFP that the electric fence around the enclosure had been cut:

“With God’s help, nothing happened. We believe this is sabotage by these animal rights organizations that protest every year. ”
