Spooky crime: hacked a neighbor with a cleaver

Officers from the Lamia Police Department investigated the brutal murder of a foreigner, a resident of Modi (Phthiotida).

According to law enforcement agencies, the perpetrator was the victim’s compatriot, with whom they lived together. The killer confessed to what he had done.

According to EL.AS., the arrested person was with the victim this Saturday. In the early morning of October 7, the defendant hit his roommate with a cleaver while he was sleeping and then disappeared. The victim was initially taken to Amphiklia Medical Center and then to Lamia General Hospital. Despite the efforts of doctors, the man died from his injuries.

The perpetrator was found by the police hiding on a drilling rig in the Modi area (Phthiotida). The fugitive confessed to his act and indicated to the police where he hid the murder weapon, which was later found and confiscated.

According to authorities, the two men allegedly had disagreements. A preliminary investigation was carried out by the Lamia Police Department, and the detainee was taken to the prosecutor’s office.
