The couple was caught red-handed, caught stealing expensive mobile phones in a store in Chalkida.
Pretending to be customers, a foreigner and a Greek woman distracted a store employee to snatch two expensive mobile phones. However, the theft was immediately noticed.
A store employee alerted the OPKE police officers who were patrolling the area, and the thieves were immobilized. They found two stolen mobile phones that were returned to the company. The criminals were detained and taken to the security service, where a preliminary investigation was carried out.
The couple were then referred to the prosecutor of the Chalkida Court of First Instance. Thieves, caught red-handed, were prosecuted for conspiracy to commit theft.
