Serial blackouts in Attica from 6 August

Greek distribution network operator (HEDNO) has warned of controlled rolling blackouts in Athens and Attica to avoid blackouts. The plan goes into effect today, Friday 6 August 2021.

“There will be periodic power outages in Attica in accordance with the instructions of the Independent Power Transmission Operator (IPTO), which are necessary to maintain the balance of production / demand and ensure the uninterrupted operation of the electricity grid on the mainland,” said HEDNO / DEDDIE
