An unexpected “passenger” became a troublemaker at the KTEL Kifisou (Athens) intercity bus station.
The couple reportedly arrived at the metropolitan bus station from Artemis in their car, where they spent the weekend. In KTEL Kifisa, they intended to leave the driver’s sister in order to return to their country house.
However, as soon as they stopped at the station, they realized that they “took” with them a snake that crawled onto the bumper of the car.
The frightened couple called the police, and law enforcement officers arrived at the scene. Experts managed to remove the reptile from the vehicle, which apparently climbed into the car to warm up, and thus covered all the way to Athens.
The “traveler” who turned out to be far from the natural habitat was handed over by the police to the workers of the Wildlife Protection Association ANIMA. Whether the snake was venomous is not reported.
