Greek law enforcement is investigating the murder of an elderly 74-year-old man in Kipseli. He was found dead at his home on Patision Street. According to preliminary information, he was tied to a chair and tortured by cruel criminals.
On Thursday afternoon, April 22, an elderly man was brutally murdered. The police who arrived at the scene of the tragedy carefully examined his apartment, trying to find evidence with which it would be possible to identify the persons involved in the crime.
More detailed information about the death of the landlord is expected to be provided by the forensic medical examination. The authorities are concerned that this is the second murder in the same area and has a “distinctive handwriting”.
Neighbor Testimony
“He was a very good friend of mine, I” lost sight of him “today, I think, where did he go? Yesterday at the same time we were together. I called him, but he did not answer, and then I left him a message, worrying because the neighbor had heart problems … I think it was a robbery. He was retired, he had no children because he was not married. Later his nephew came and, since the door was not opened for him, he called the police and the door were broken down, “says a friend of the victim. “They gagged him and hit him on the head,” he describes the chilling picture that appeared before his eyes when he entered a friend’s apartment and saw him dead.
Another neighbor, who owns a hairdresser in the same house, testifies: “I was told that last night I heard shouts of ‘Help!’ The police arrived, searched the entrance and the surroundings and, since nothing suspicious was found, left. The next morning, when the tenant of the house was missed, I asked my employee to call the lonely man’s nephew, to check, just in case, what was wrong with him. When he arrived and the door was not opened for him, he called the police. The elderly man was a wonderful person and did not cause problems for anyone … I’m really shocked. “
