On November 8, an explosive device went off in the car of ex-LPR police chief Mikhail Filiponenko and he died.
About the incident report Russian media. Previously, Filiponenko headed the “People’s Militia of the LPR”, then became a “deputy of the People’s Council of the LPR.”
The car was badly damaged; apparently, the epicenter of the explosion was near the driver’s seat. Eyewitnesses of the incident report that drivers passing by tried to help Filiponenko, but he died on the spot.
Earlier, in February 2022, they had already tried to eliminate him, but he survived after a car explosion. In the Russian Federation, a criminal case has been opened on the incident under three articles, including a terrorist attack.
