Twitter was flooded with photos from Greece showing an unusual sunset, blazing with impossible colors with a predominance of red. Internet users note: “Northern lights in Serres. Well, just like in Norway. This is the end!”.
The aurora, a natural phenomenon that usually occurs at this time in Northern Europe, the Scandinavian countries of Iceland, Britain, and Norway, yesterday became visible at much lower latitudes. There is evidence of the appearance of this phenomenon in the Alps (Central Europe), in the northern regions of Italy, in the Balkans, and even here in Greece, on the island of Serres.
The bloody sunset caused a public outcry, and network users began to mock and joke about this unusually exciting and disturbing phenomenon as best they could.
