Hellenic Defense Systems SA (HDS) has received a new order for components of the European Iris-T medium-range infrared homing air-to-air missile worth 28.8 million euros, it said on Tuesday.
The components of the Iris-T missile that will be produced in Greece include the warhead and control section. The components will be delivered to the German company Diehl Defense, where the final assembly of the missiles is carried out, by early 2026.
To date, Greece has delivered 3,800 units of both sections worldwide since 2005, when production began.
