Refugee from Ukraine sold children to pedophiles

A 52-year-old Ukrainian refugee was detained in Poznan, who sold children to pedophiles for rape, writes Gazeta Wyborcza.

Svetlana P. came to Poland from Sinelnikovo, Dnepropetrovsk region. She does not have her own children, but for 20 years she has been raising foster children, the newspaper writes. On March 12, 2022, she crossed the Polish border with ten children aged 4 to 16.

Polish volunteers suspected that something was wrong with the family when they visited the woman and found that the children were hungry and scared. They organized a nightly film screening for the children, which created a formal reason to isolate the woman from them. During the conversation, the children admitted that their foster mother beat them and mocked them in every possible way. In particular, the guardian knocked out some children’s teeth, forced others to eat excrement, and beat them on the genitals.

She was arrested in the morning. She faces ten charges, one for each child. If the allegations are confirmed, Svetlana P. faces a 15-year sentence.

During the investigation, it turned out that she sold children to pedophiles in Ukraine and Poland, who also mocked them. At this time, their foster mother stood nearby and estimated by the clock on the phone whether the 20 minutes allotted for the client had passed.

The woman herself denies her guilt and declares that the children are lying. The prosecutor’s office believes that she is sane.
