More and more publications appear in the foreign media, in which Lipsi stands out among the Greek tourist destinations loved by foreigners.
The German version of Euronews, as well as the Griechenland Zeitung website, emphasize the initiative of the municipal authorities in terms of promoting an “ecological” lifestyle, without organized beaches and using sources of “green energy”. As the EOT report says, “Lipsi Island offers the perfect retreat in comfort away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.”
A natural oasis, surrounded by islets and reefs, is a wonderful place where you really feel the “primordial nature”. Here you will not see sun loungers and umbrellas that “do not fit into the landscape”, and after sunset, “solar lights” (accumulating solar energy during the day and then releasing it) illuminate places where there was no electricity before.
The “natural” holiday trend was highlighted in targeted meetings with journalists, bloggers, influencers and agency representatives held at the international travel fairs ITB in Berlin and Ferien Messe in Austria. A notable addition to the island’s promotion program was Lipsi’s inclusion in a series of targeted online seminars for tourism professionals hosted by EOT Italy.
“Following the pioneering ‘less is more’ tactic for Greece, we offer an authentic and quality holiday that is becoming more relevant and popular every year both domestically and internationally. The atmosphere of Lipsi will win the hearts of Greeks and international travelers, not only thanks to the gifts that nature has bestowed on us, but also thanks to the efforts of the municipality, professionals and residents,” said Lipsi Mayor Fotis Maggos.
