In Thessaloniki, an event occurred that caused a public outcry – a flurry of praise for the little hero.
The woman was reportedly driving when she became ill and passed out. The reaction of her young son saved her. The 8-year-old boy notified authorities by making an emergency call.
The incident took place at the height of the Axios Bridge, on the Old Thessaloniki-Veria national road. The child managed to explain to the rescuers exactly where they were staying. Police officers and an EKAB ambulance immediately arrived at the scene to assess the condition of the boy’s mother. The woman was transferred to the AHEPA hospital for first aid, and the police called the boy a real brave “little hero” who did not lose his head and did not panic in a critical situation, which saved his mother.
