Boris Johnson became the official husband of Carrie Symonds, the couple secretly married at Westminster Cathedral in the presence of a narrow circle of guests.
The Sun reports that the ceremony, which took place today, was not announced and came as a surprise even for the prime minister’s close subordinates. Due to restrictions related to the pandemic, weddings can only be attended by a maximum of 30 people, which has been respected.
Carrie Symonds and Boris Johnson got engaged last February and had a son, Wilfred Laurie Nicholas, in April. For Symonds, this is the first marriage, for the Prime Minister, the third. The 56-year-old Johnson, according to AMPE, has four children born in the last, second, marriage to Marina Wheeler. The couple divorced in 2018 after 25 years of marriage. With 33-year-old Carrie Simmonds, Prime has been living on Downing Street since 2019.
Next summer, the couple intends to celebrate the wedding with family and friends, invitations to the celebration already sent out.
