The Greek Civil Aviation Authority announces that the ban on flights from Russia and Belarus is being extended until September 2022.
The ban was announced as part of the sanctions imposed by the European Union in connection with the Russian invasion of Ukraine. In a widespread statement of the Civil Aviation Authority (Υπηρεσία Πολιτικής Αεροπορίας), it is reported that aviation directives banning the flights of Russian and Belarusian aircraft in the national airspace of Greece remain in force until September 22.
Aviation instructions also remain in force to close the airspace of Ukraine and prohibit the transit of civil aircraft in the airspace of Moldova and Belarus due to the high risk in these areas due to the war in Ukraine. The extension of aviation directives will be valid until September 22, 2022, writes newsbeast.gr.
