Thessaloniki: playing on the playground led to the loss of a finger

An 8-year-old girl lost her finger while sliding down a playground slide in Thessaloniki.

The child was seriously injured on Sunday afternoon, in a park located near the German consulate. Rolling down the hill, the girl “lost” her little finger.

An ambulance called to the scene took the victim to the Papageorgiou hospital, where, during the operation, doctors sewed the child’s severed finger back on.

According to eyewitnesses, the children’s slide has long been in urgent need of repair. A preliminary investigation was carried out by the police department of Tumba – Triandria (Τούμπας – Τριανδρίας). The playground has been sealed until repairs are completed and the playground for children’s games is brought into proper condition. newsbeast.gr.
