At 09:00 in the morning, federations and trade unions of pensioners gathered at the State Council building and then joined the march. Earlier, the seafarers' unions ΠΕΜΕΝ, “ΣΤΕΦΕΝΣΩΝ” και ΠΕΕΜΑΓΕΝ organized a strike meeting at the Piraeus railway station.

KKE General Secretary Dimitris Koutsoumbas was present at the strike mobilization. “We are fighting and demanding, together with all workers, measures to solve the problem of the enormous cost of living for the entire Greek people,” he said, in particular.

Workers of the metro, trams and electric trains took part in the strike. In their statement, the STASY unions demand an increase in wages above the minimum wage to protect the purchasing power of low- and middle-income families, the immediate hiring of staff to cover the operator's ongoing needs, and the immediate restoration of the current National General Collective Labor Agreement.

Buses and trolleybuses operate as usual until 21:00 in the evening, as workers decided to suspend work from the beginning of the shift until 9:00 and from 21:00 until the end of the shift.

At the same time, taxis began operating after 15:00.
