Agreement on Confidence-Building Measures between Greece and Turkey

On Monday, April 22, a meeting of the Greek and Turkish delegations will take place in Athens to sign the document of mutual trust ΜΟΕ (Μέτρα Οικοδόμησης Εμπιστοσύνης).

The Greek delegation will be headed by Ambassador Theoharis Lalakos, the Turkish delegation will be headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Burak Aksapar. The previous meeting on the memorandum took place on November 13, 2023 in Ankara.

Before the meeting scheduled for April 22, there will be two exchanges of visits by commanders of military units, writes CNN Greece:

• On April 16-17, the commander of the Greek 3rd Motorized Rifle Brigade, based in Kavili Evros, will visit the Turkish 54th Motorized Rifle Brigade, based in Edirne.
• On April 18-19, the Turkish commander of the 4th Mechanized Infantry Brigade, based in Kessani, will visit the Greek 31st Mechanized Infantry Brigade, based in Feres.
