Who will receive a voucher for 300 euros

Vouchers will be issued to thousands of Greek children. The state aid is called the “Sports Pass”, its amount will be 300 euros.

Information currently available indicates that the Sports Pass will be a voucher that is expected to be redeemed in the third quarter of 2024. This new program aims to strengthen sports and attract younger generations to sports and a healthy lifestyle.

As tax expert Spyros Staroulias reported on ERT today, it is likely that Families with many children, as well as those with children with disabilities, will benefit.

The voucher was estimated to be issued to approximately 35 thousand students (out of 100,000 children attending 1st grade of secondary school).

As stated in the annual action plan of the Ministry of Education for 2024: “In accordance with the decision made (clause 107, chapter 8.2 “Sport at school”), a program is envisaged to strengthen children’s sports, providing the opportunity for many students to register in the sports clubs of their choice.” .

Of the 100,000 students of this age who will be affected by the measure, only 35,000 will be eligible for the €300 voucher. Beneficiaries will be selected on a priority basis based on family and income criteria.
