On Sunday at 21:00, in honor of Greek Independence Day, a drone show with symbols and slogans of Greece took place over the center of Athens.
Every year on March 25, parades are held throughout the country, and this holiday was opened by a night show. The show consisted of 250 drones with coordinated lighting featuring alternating 3D shapes, logos and words. Among them were images of a warship, a 19th gun, a naval cannon from the Revolution, an euzone, holiday wishes such as “Long Live Greece,” and a Greek flag.
The drone show was organized by the Attica region. The show was announced in advance by Attica Governor Nikos Hardalias, who urged Athenians to “look to the sky shortly before 9 pm on Sunday”, but did not reveal what kind of surprise was in store.
