To achieve their goal they performed various functions:

  • The 35-year-old man, who held a leadership role, was the brains of the organization, and stolen vehicles were forged in the workshop of a factory owned by him. He supervised the actions of members of the organization, ensuring the receipt, storage and further disposal of dismantled parts and spare parts. In addition, they managed the cash flows that support the criminal organization’s activities, such as payments for vehicle dismantling and facility operating costs.
  • The 32-year-old man acted directly under the lead member of the organization and played a key role in its activities, since he registered cars abroad and then sold counterfeit cars, receiving money for it,
  • A 43-year-old member of the organization was setting up and operating a makeshift workshop in an abandoned building. It was he who received the stolen cars, hid them and organized their dismantling. Once the job was completed, he delivered the parts in closed trucks to the head of the criminal organization,
  • The 29-year-old and 21-year-old men were involved in operational work and dismantled vehicles to meet the needs of the organization. To achieve their goal, they moved at night in various areas of Attica, looking for cars. After committing the theft, they drove them to neighboring streets or to their “den” so that they would not be found,
  • The 51-year-old man, in an open space with a high fence and a large double door, set up a workshop where he dismantled stolen cars. The lead participant used a van to sell car parts to interested parties.
