Cretan underage incest

In Crete, a 13-year-old girl became pregnant by a 15-year-old boy. The couple claims that they are in love.

The head of the NA Attica police, G. Kalliakmanis, said that a girl from Bulgaria is expecting a child from her brother. Essentially still children, they told the police that there was no rape, the sexual intercourse occurred with the consent of both and they love each other.

Mr. Kalliakmanis emphasized that, in accordance with the legislation, there can be no question of consent, since the girl is a minor, and the law on incest is also violated, writes newsbeast.gr.

Incest, or incest, is sexual intercourse between close blood relatives. The concept of “intimate” is defined differently in different cultures, although almost all have a ban on incest. Although, for example, in Spain and the Netherlands, consensual incest is completely legal, brothers and sisters cannot marry. Most countries that do not have strict laws against incest still prohibit the sexual exploitation of minors, which means that many forms of incest will be illegal as it is considered rape by law.

There are currently 22 countries in the world that have not criminalized incest, including Argentina, Brazil, Japan, South Korea and Turkey. The practice is punishable by death in countries such as Afghanistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Nigeria.
