Greece’s annual inflation remained unchanged at 3.2% in February, compared with a month earlier, according to preliminary Eurostat data released today. In the eurozone, annual inflation slowed slightly, to 2.6% in February from 2.8% in January.
Let us remind you that inflation in the European Union in January was 3.1%, and in the eurozone – 2.8%. In our country, annual inflation in the first month of the year was recorded at 3.2%.
Meanwhile, Greece continues to struggle with high costs and rising prices. The total “war” began today with another package of measures adopted by the government. These are measures that, according to forecasts from the Ministry of Development, will entail stabilization of prices for a number of basic products and a reduction in the cost of baby milk/food by 15%.
However the difference in prices on supermarket shelves will gradually become apparent over the coming weeks until stocks are replenishedand for citizens to notice the difference “in their pocket”, it will take some time.
