An out of control bus crushed everything in its tracks

An OASTH bus traveling on the route Triandria-Apotiki (Thessaloniki) crashed into at least eight parked cars on Zaimi Street.

The incident, according to ERT, occurred around midnight. The circumstances under which the accident occurred remain unclear at this time. According to thestival.gr, at least five vehicles suffered serious material damage, but no injuries were reported.

The announcement of the bus’s “crazy course”, an incident that happened around midnight in Triandria in eastern Thessaloniki, was made by OASTH management.

The Thessaloniki City Transport Organization, as well as the competent authorities, are investigating the circumstances in which last night, at 23:50, for an as yet unknown reason, a bus stopped at the Triandria terminus station moved and crushed parked cars standing in its way.

“When the accident occurred, the driver had completed his final route and was inspecting the rear of the bus before heading to the depot. Apparently “the bus took off the handbrake” and began to move without control. There were no passengers on the bus. Fortunately, there were no casualties,” OASTH management said.
