Senate Democrats and Republicans reached an agreement yesterday to provide further military and economic aid to Ukraine and Israel while tightening US immigration and asylum policies.
However acceptance of this text is not guaranteed, as a growing number of House Republicans openly oppose giving Kyiv more funds to counter Russian forces. Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson said the agreement was “dead before it even comes to a vote.” Republican voters are already angry about the deal and the Republican senators who passed it.
The #Sapranos could learn a thing or two from the US #Senate on #extortion. Because this bill is the biggest extortion attempt ever. So you won’t spend $20Billion on the #American #Border unless we send $60Billion to #Ukraine️? This is #racketeering! pic.twitter.com/U2YA5LhZct

Speaker Johnson has already stated that the Senate bill is effectively dead. The Senate releases a long-awaited border bill and significant changes to asylum.

America is burning and the #Senate is watching it burn! Stop giving our money to protect everyone except Americans!!! We have a President who doesn’t care about his people and we need a #Congress that does! Stop this madness!
According to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, the text is expected to come up for a first vote on Wednesday.
According to Democratic Sen. Patty Murray, it includes another $20 billion-plus for border security, $60-plus billion for Ukraine, $14-plus billion for Israel, $2.4 billion for CENTCOM and Red Sea operations. , as well as almost $5 billion to support US partners in the Indo-Pacific region.

Another $10 billion will be allocated to provide humanitarian assistance to the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and Ukrainians. US President Joe Biden immediately after the presentation of this agreement emphasized that “strongly supports” and called on him to be “accepted” by Congress as soon as possible. If the agreement is accepted, then along with the 50 billion dollars that EU will allocate to Kyiv, this will be a very big help to Ukraine, which, of course, will prolong the war with Russia for a long time. Will this be enough? Or is this the last money of already exhausted societies that will “wasted” without any real effect on the battlefields?
We’ve reached an agreement on a bipartisan deal that includes the toughest and fairest set of border reforms in decades. And it includes support for Ukraine and Israel and provides humanitarian assistance for the Palestinian people.
I urge Congress to pass this bill immediately. pic.twitter.com/jGuiDDxIO9
