The European Union has pledged to pay salaries to Ukrainian civil servants

It may be difficult for V. Zelensky to show any victories over the Russians, especially after the failure of the counteroffensive, but EU today I decided to save his life by taking over the maintenance of the Ukrainian state, that is, the salaries of civil servants, so that he could continue to exist.

Of course, this money will pay for all the corrupt elements of Ukrainian public life (on more than one occasion politicians have been arrested with cash while trying to flee the country), and the EU is trying to mitigate this by announcing that it will conduct an annual audit! Without society there is no state, and the EU (like the US) decides to preserve it. It is no coincidence that the mention of new weapons systems refers to another project costing only 5 billion euros.

So, the “27” agreement on financial assistance to Ukraine in the amount of 50 billion euros, reached today at a meeting of the European Council, “provides, together with partners, stable, predictable and sustainable financial support for Ukraine in the period 2024-2027”, states the text of the conclusions of European leaders. Because it cannot be written more officially that we will pay salaries to the Ukrainian public sector.

According to the conclusions of the summit, European assistance intended for Ukraine in the period 2024-2027 will not exceed 50 billion euros, of which 33 billion euros will be provided in the form of loans and 17 billion euros in the form of gratuitous support.

The European Council emphasizes the need to provide financial support for Ukraine that will contribute to the recovery, reconstruction and modernization of the country, promoting social cohesion and the accession process with a view to possible future membership of the union.

It is also noted that with regard to military support for Ukraine under the European Peace Fund (EPF), the council will consider the proposed increase in the overall budget ceiling, without, however, mentioning the amount of 5 billion euros.

The European Council also reiterates the urgent need to speed up the supply of ammunition and missiles to Ukraine, especially given the commitment to provide it with one million artillery shells.
