EUat least for the near future, will replace the United States in financing Ukraine, since after blackmailing Hungary, which was promised economic destruction, the leaders of 27 countries “agreed” to provide V. Zelensky with assistance in the amount of 50 billion euros.
The President of the European Council said that “all 27 leaders agreed on an additional support package for Ukraine in the amount of 50 billion euros within the EU budget.” Charles Michel’s announcement that the EU is taking a leading role in supporting Ukraine is simply amazing!
We have a deal. #Unity
All 27 leaders agreed on an additional €50 billion support package for Ukraine within the EU budget.
This locks in steadfast, long-term, predictable funding for #Ukraine.
EU is taking leadership & responsibility in support for Ukraine; we know what is…

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmyhal confirmed the approval of the allocation of 50 billion euros to Kyiv from the EU during 2024-2027.
Welcome an approval by #EUCO the decision on establishing of Ukraine Facility of up to €50 billion for 2024-2027.
EU Member States one more time show their solidarity & unity in the actions to Ukrainian people to withstand the war.
Grateful to @CharlesMichel, the Leaders of EU…— Denys Shmyhal (@Denys_Shmyhal) February 1, 2024
We welcome #EUCO’s approval of the decision to create a Ukrainian fund in the amount of 50 billion euros for 2024-2027. EU member states are once again demonstrating their solidarity and unity in action for the Ukrainian people to resist the war. Thank you @CharlesMichel, EU leaders for your unwavering support. Each of your votes is a significant contribution to our common victory.
At the same time, the EU will still approve budget payments to Ukraine as part of a support program of 50 billion euros, as demanded by Hungary, Reuters reported. Ukraine will receive an average of 12.5 billion euros per year. It is still unclear where to get the 21.8 billion euros missing in the 2024 state budget – the news from the United States about the allocation of money, on the contrary, is disappointing.
The EU decision guarantees stable, long-term and predictable funding for Ukraine. The EU takes the lead and responsibility for supporting Ukraine, knowing what is at stake.
Of course, most of the aid will go to pay Ukrainian civil servants, and an equally large part of it will end up in the pockets of well-known scammers in Kyiv. The justification for such generous funding is that Europe will “fall” if… Ukraine “falls”.
What is certain is that Brussels will not back down if Russian troops “attack” the Kiev regime and impose treaties on it on humiliating terms. Of course, all this will happen until November-January next year, since everything will change if N. Trump or any other Republican wins the US presidential elections.
Agreement! 27 #EU countries have fulfilled our commitment to provide #Ukraine with predictable, long-term support of 50 billion euros. This will strengthen 🇺🇦 in its fight for freedom. Excellent news for the security of #Latvia and all of Europe. 🇱🇻🇪🇺 pic.twitter.com/YeXhRQ2nxG

Three days ago, the Financial Times, citing an EU document, reported that the European Union plans to deal a financial blow to Hungary if it does not lift its veto on financing Ukraine in the amount of 50 billion euros from the “pockets” of European taxpayers at the summit in Brussels on February 1, 2024 of the year.
50 billion euros, which will disappear from the already depleted budgets of European states. Which, in turn, will make sure that they are replenished from the incomes of European citizens… Incomes that have been severely undermined by the hyperinflation of the last two years and the devastating coronavirus pandemic.
