Towards the end of January the weather changes: meteorologists predict snow even in the low-lying areas of Attica. Sakis Arnautoglou notes that the likelihood of significant snowfall in Attica next Monday and Tuesday, January 29 and 30, remains very high, especially in Maroussi, Kifissia, Agia Paraskevi. The following areas will be under snow cover: Dionysos, Nea Penteli, Varnavas, Villas, Kryoneri, Anixi, Afidnes, Drosia, Capandriti, Stamata, Thrakomakedonii, Anfusa, Polidendri, Ekali, Fili, Nea Eritrea, Oinoi, Kifissia, Melissia, Pefki, Vrilissia , Grammatiko, Agia Paraskevi, Lykovrisi, Maroussi and near them (Τον Διόνυσο, τη Νέα Πεντέλη, τον Βαρνάβα, τα Βίλια, το Κρυ ονέρι, την Άνοιξη, τις Αφίδνες, τη Δροσιά, το Καπανδρίτι, τη Σταμάτα, του ς Θρακομακεδόνες, την Ανθούσα, το Πολυδένδρι, την Εκάλη, τη Φυλή, τη Νέα Ερυθραία, την Οινόη, αλλά και τ ? αρασκευή, τη Λυκόβρυση και το Μαρούσι).

Further cooling is forecast over the weekend, driven by northerly winds. The weather will then change, ending the month with snow, which will affect areas of the east of the country even at low altitudes, including Attica.

But already at the beginning of February it will become warmer, the meteorologist promises: “after the winter, which will last until Wednesday, warm spring-like days will come again in early February.”
