Thessaloniki: a bloodied patient lay on the floor of the Agios Pavlos clinic for several hours

An 82-year-old bloodied man was found on the cold floor by his grandson who came to visit him – the patient spent several hours on the floor of the Agios Pavlos clinic in Thessaloniki.

The patient was hospitalized with influenza on January 15, and relatives came to visit him the next day. In his complaint, the grandson claims that when asked how long his grandfather had been in this position, he answered him – long enough. The medical staff found it difficult to answer questions from relatives.

In response to the complaint, the hospital stated that the patient did not press the “nurse call system” and was found in a sitting position, and the catheter placed in him was removed, due to which blood was found.
