The bill on mobilization: today the Verkhovna Rada committee plans to make a final decision

The Verkhovna Rada Committee predicts significant changes in certain provisions of the bill on mobilization during consideration in parliament.

Alexander Zavitnevich, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, noted in a media interview regarding the discussion of the bill, quotes “UP”:

“At all meetings there was a working atmosphere, there were heated discussions, the exchange of various arguments, sometimes emotionally. First of all, this concerned the search for a balance between the constitutional rights of citizens and the measures proposed in the bill to solve the problems of mobilization that limit these rights. I predict that certain norms “The bill will undergo significant changes when considered in parliament. Well, we plan to make the final decision of the committee on the bill on Tuesday.”

As before wrote our publication, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stated that the bill on mobilization will be changed after discussion. The Ukrainian authorities have promised a compromise; the Office of the President and the leadership of the Verkhovna Rada are talking about the possibility of combining several alternative bills.

Five different versions of the mobilization bill have been registered in the Verkhovna Rada. This was reported by People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak, writes edition “Country”. The first, most resonant, was submitted by the Cabinet of Ministers, the rest of the alternatives were submitted by deputies. Now the government bill is being discussed at a closed meeting of the speaker with the factions, and soon a meeting of the defense committee will begin, where a decision will be made on it.
