The most massive air attack on Ukraine (added)


During today’s massive attack on Ukraine, on December 29, the Russians used 158 air attack weapons: missiles of various types and attack UAVs. 27 Shaheds and 87 cruise missiles were shot down.

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny announced on Telegram:

“According to preliminary results, this night the enemy used 158 air attack weapons against Ukraine: missiles of various types and attack UAVs. The forces and means of the Air Force, in cooperation with units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, destroyed 27 attack UAVs “Shahed-136/131″ and 87 cruise missiles X-101/X-555/X-55”.

Air Force Commander, Lieutenant General Nikolai Oleshchuk, said that it was the most massive attack from the air:

“The most massive air attack. On December 29, 114 out of 158 air targets were destroyed. Thanks to everyone for their combat work! Many lives were saved! We will take revenge! We will win!”

According to Zaluzhny, the Russians attacked critical infrastructure, industrial and military facilities. As a result of the strike, there were dead and injured. He said that first, the invaders traditionally attacked with “Shaheds” from the northern and southeastern directions, followed by movement in a western direction. A total of 36 attack UAVs “Shahed-136/131” were recorded.

At about 3 am, the Russians scrambled strategic aircraft – Tu-95MS bombers. There were 18 aircraft in total, which reached the launch line at about 6 am. They launched at least 90 Kh-101/Kh-555/Kh-55 air-launched cruise missiles.

From the Kursk region at about 5 am, the invaders used long-range Tu-22M3 bombers, which fired 8 Kh-22/Kh-32 cruise missiles in the direction of the northern and central regions.

At the same time, the Russians attacked Kharkov with S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles. In total, they fired at least 14 missiles that flew along a ballistic trajectory – S-300/S-400/Iskander-M from the occupied Crimea, Kursk and Belgorod regions of the Russian Federation.

At 6:30 a.m., the takeoff of five MiG-31K fighters was recorded, which launched 5 Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles from the Astrakhan region. In addition, the Russians fired 4 Kh-31P and one Kh-59 anti-radar missiles from Su-35 tactical aircraft.

15 people were killed and 75 injured as a result of a massive missile attack on Ukraine. At the moment, the most victims – 23 people – are in Kyiv. In the capital, one person died as a result of a rocket attack – rescuers pulled his body out from under the rubble of a warehouse in the Shevchenko district of the city. The mayor of the city, Vitaliy Klitschko, announced a few minutes ago that rescuers managed to rescue another victim from under the rubble of this warehouse. Most of the dead – 5 people – were in Dnieper. More than 20 people were injured as a result of the shelling. In Zaporozhye, according to updated data, four people were killed. In the Odessa region, three dead and 15 wounded. In the Kharkov and Lviv regions there was one death each and dozens of injured.
