Facebook has a new scam method, and guidance OASA hastened to publish a statement to inform citizens.
In particular, according to OASA, an attempt at fraud involving the illegal use of the organization’s brand was recorded on social networks. The OASA logo page encourages unsuspecting citizens to apply for 12-month ATH.ENA card for two euros.
OASA emphasizes that it has no connection with the page in question and quotes a corresponding photograph of it to inform passengers.
“OASA would like to draw the attention of the traveling public to an attempted deception on social media using the organization’s brand illegally.
“Over the past few hours, a fake page with the OASA logo has appeared on social media, particularly Facebook, calling on unsuspecting citizens to apply for a 12-month ATH.ENA card for two euros,” the statement said.
OASA says the Facebook page has no connection to the organization. This is an attempt to deceive passengers and an attempt to intercept personal information. The organization has already begun informing the competent authorities.
Let us recall that ΟΑΣΑ is a government organization, and FORGING its documents is punishable by law. The manufacturer faces a prison term of up to 10 years, and the one who uses the counterfeit – up to 5 years.
