A 50-year-old man detained in Thessaloniki turned out to be on the international wanted list – there was an Interpol warrant for him.
He was taken to the White Tower security department by ΔΙ.ΑΣ police officers for a check, during which it turned out that the detainee was wanted by Interpol, writes CNN Greece. According to the warrant issued by the International Criminal Police Organization, he is accused of:
- in trafficking in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances with imprisonment for 16 years and three months;
- for trafficking in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances with imprisonment for 10 years;
- in support of a criminal organization with imprisonment for two years and one month;
- forgery of official documents – imprisonment for a term of two years.
The detained man has been arrested.
