Law enforcement agencies warn citizens: “During the Christmas and New Year holidays, be vigilant and careful during public events, traveling by transport and at home.” However, there were some incidents.

Three robbers took advantage of the custom of Christmas carols and entered a maisonette in Kifissia. Criminals dressed in Santa Claus costumes entered a private house under the pretext of singing carols. One of the mummers burst into the room and grabbed a small locked safe from the closet, which contained, among other things, an unknown amount of money, a watch and car keys. After this, the attackers fled in an unknown direction.

According to media reports, during the carols, a 14-year-old teenager lost consciousness and was hospitalized. According to epiruspost.gr, the child left the house in the morning to sing Christmas songs. At some point, he lost consciousness, which alarmed a family member who was accompanying the boy. The minor, who suffered a brain hemorrhage, was initially taken to Hatzikosta Hospital in Ioannina, where he was intubated. However, the guy’s health condition raised concerns, and he was transported via the “air corridor” to the Athens children’s hospital “Agia Sophia”. There he underwent neurosurgical surgery, ERT channel reports.
