Outrage over pink Greek flag at New York Consulate General

The pink Greek flag, which was displayed at the Greek Consulate General in New York and caused a strong reaction, has been withdrawn by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

After the uproar, George Gerapetritis was forced to demand that it be removed from the exhibition of the Consulate General of Greece in New York. “A flag made of pink sheets may be symbolic, but it is a desecration of our national symbol, which we first saw under the Mitsotakis government,” the publication’s journalists say ProNews.

By order of Foreign Minister Georgios Gerapetritis, the pink Greek flag will be immediately removed from the exhibition of the Consulate General of Greece in New York, writes the famous Greek journalist Michael Ignatiou.
