Snow fell overnight in the mountain village of Pefki, located in Trikala. Residents woke up and saw that the streets, trees and houses were “dressed in white.”
Since yesterday (December 15), the first snow began to fall in the mountain villages of Trikala, and the snowfall continued throughout the night. The village of Pefki, located at an altitude of 850 meters, belongs to the municipality of Meteora and is only 25 minutes drive from the town of Kalambaka. There are other villages in the mountains around, also shrouded in a “white duvet.”
Northern Greece has also become very cold, with snow expected in many areas this weekend.
