Fighting resumes, Israel and US blame Hamas (video)

Last night the IDF carried out operations in Gaza. The fighting is taking place in the Khan Yunis area. Israel and the United States are considered guilty of disrupting the Hamas truce.

Could not extend on Friday ceasefire. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced the end of the pause in hostilities due to the fact that “Hamas has abandoned its obligations.” He says militants resumed firing rockets at Israel before the ceasefire ended.

Currently, active hostilities are taking place in the south of Gaza, near the city of Khan Yunis. There, Israeli media report citing sources in the IDF, part of the Hamas leadership is located there.

The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu noted that the group had not fulfilled part of its obligations to release the hostages. Hamas blames Israel for the renewed fire, which allegedly “refused all offers.” The group claims that they “have no women and children left who need to be freed.”

According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, 180 civilians have already died since fighting resumed in the strip. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reports that the entry of humanitarian aid vehicles from Egypt into the Gaza Strip has been stopped since December 1. Israel assures that aid will be delivered to Gaza, but the number of trucks will be reduced to several dozen per day.
