EEE-KEA: “triple assistance”, up to 648 euros, will be paid to beneficiaries

There will be an 8% increase in the minimum guaranteed income for applications approved from Friday 1 December 2023.

According to workenter.gr, the amounts have been restructured with an increase of 8% and will amount to:

  • up to 216 euros instead of 200 euros per month for a single person,
  • 108 euros instead of 100 euros for each additional adult family member,
  • 54 euros instead of 50 euros for each minor family member.

The maximum benefit amount is 972 euros per month, regardless of family composition. 210 thousand beneficiaries of the minimum guaranteed income will receive an additional 50% of the monthly benefit. Let us remind you that from December the minimum guaranteed income increases by 8%. Thus, a family of four will receive a total of 648 euros in December (initial benefit + 8% bonus + extraordinary benefit).

Increasing the amount of the minimum guaranteed income affects the income criteria for inclusion in the program. In particular, the declared household income calculated for inclusion in the program for the last 6 months before submitting the application cannot exceed the following amounts:

  • For a family of one person 1296 euros (versus 1200).
  • For a household consisting of two adult members, or a family with one parent and one minor member – 1944 euros (instead of 1800 euros).
  • For a family consisting of two adults and one minor member, or a single-parent family consisting of two minor members, 2268 euros (instead of 2100 euros).
  • For a family consisting of three adults or two adults and two minor family members, or a single-parent family consisting of three minor children, 2592 euros (instead of 2400 euros).
  • For a family consisting of three adults and one minor family member, or two adults and three minors, or a single-parent family consisting of four minor family members, 2,916 euros (instead of 2,700 euros).
  • For a family consisting of four adults or two adults and four minors, or a family with one parent consisting of five minor members 3240 euros (instead of 3000 euros).

Six-month income cannot exceed 5,832 euros (versus 5,400 euros before the benefit increase), regardless of the number of household members.
