Two smugglers who previously dropped off about 60 migrants in the town of Porto Rafti* were arrested on Friday by Kea coast guards.
Illegal migrants who disembarked from the speedboat fled to the outskirts of Porto Rafti (Attica metropolitan area) to avoid arrest, and a search operation is currently underway to find them.

After the boat left, the coastguard led a pursuit involving six boats and a helicopter, and managed to stop it near the island of Kea, where both smugglers were arrested.
* From Porto Rafti to the center of Athens it is just under 30 kilometers.
