A total of 2.3 million people will be beneficiaries of the “social solidarity benefit”, as announced this morning (11/16/23) by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and explained by Minister of National Economy and Finance Kostis Hatzidakis.
The total amount of the social solidarity benefit, which covers four groups of economically vulnerable citizens, amounts to 352 million euros. The amount was formed due to over-fulfillment of tax revenues in October, which was confirmed in a government statement.
Social assistance will be provided to the following groups of citizens:
- 800,000 child benefit beneficiaries CUSTODY will receive an additional amount to the child benefit. For example, a family with three children will receive the total amount (initial plus one and a half contributions) in December (see table).
