Israeli Defense Forces tanks surrounded the building of the Al-Rantisi Children’s Hospital, located in the Gaza Strip. The TV channel reported this Al Hadath.
The move follows the bombing of al-Sifah Hospital, which is housing hundreds of displaced people, and heightens concerns that Israel’s military campaign is posing further threats to patients and medical staff in the besieged area, CNNi said in a report.
The head of the Mustafa al-Qalout al-Rantisi hospital in northern Gaza told CNNi that they were surrounded and asked the Red Cross to help with the evacuation. “We are completely surrounded, there are tanks near the hospital, and we cannot leave it.”said al-Kalut.
The hospital complex is located near the Sheikh Radwan area and the Al-Shati camp, where ground battles are reportedly taking place between the Israeli army and Hamas. “We have no electricity, no oxygen for patients, no medicine and no water. We don’t know what will happen to us,” – said the head of the hospital.
His appeal came after reports of attacks on at least two other hospitals in northern Gaza.
A school and hospital were damaged
The director of Al-Sifa Hospital, the largest in the Gaza Strip, said on Friday (11/10) that about 50 bodies were brought there after an early morning bombing of the hospital in Gaza City, which is housing many displaced people. Earlier, in a conversation with Reuters, Mohammad Abu Selmeya said that at least 20 people were killed as a result of the Israeli strike on the Al-Buraq school.
The Hamas government press office also reported that “several (Israeli) tanks took up a position 200 meters from the Al-Buraq school on Al-Nasr Street and surrounded four hospitals in the area.”
One dead at Al Quds Hospital
Meanwhile, Israeli forces shelled Gaza’s Al-Quds Hospital, killing one civilian and wounding 19 others, the Palestinian Red Crescent said. The non-profit organization reported Israeli snipers targeting a hospital in Gaza City, adding that “clashes are violent.”
