The identities of nine people involved in the murder in Volnovakha have been established and they have been detained, reports the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation. These are Russian contract soldiers from the Far East. The message says:
“As a result of the joint work of employees of the Investigation Department in cooperation with the operational units of the regional Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, it was possible to establish the identities of two men involved in the commission of this crime. They are Russian military personnel from the Far East, performing military service under a contract.”
According to the investigation, murder happened on the night of October 28. The deceased are members of the same family, writes TASS: The 53-year-old owner of the house with his 48-year-old wife, their son and his wife, her brother, two children – four and eight years old.
The investigation established that the residents of Volnovakha were dealt with while they were sleeping. They were in different rooms, some were lying on beds. In addition to multiple gunshot wounds, all of them have a wound from a gunshot to the head. The killers used automatic weapons with silencers.
The detainees were taken to the investigative department to establish the circumstances of the incident and consolidate the evidence base. According to preliminary data, the motive for the crime was a domestic conflict, the press service of the Russian Investigative Committee told TASS.
The department noted that the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Donetsk People’s Republic is investigating a criminal case under Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder), initiated upon the murder of nine residents of the city of Volnovakha, including two children, whose bodies were found in a private residential building with gunshot wounds:
“The suspects were detained and taken to the investigative department, investigative and procedural actions are being carried out with them aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the incident, as well as consolidating the evidence base. According to preliminary data, the motive for the crime was a domestic conflict.”
The Investigative Committee did not specify the names of the criminals and their ages.
