  • According to Zelensky’s declaration, the value of this property is 1.3 million hryvnia (more than 160 thousand dollars at the exchange rate of that period).
  • In 2019, Reuters reported that Elena Zelenskaya bought an elite apartment in Livadia for less than half the market value from ex-people’s deputy, oligarch Alexander Buryak. The publication noted that the couple are selling this apartment.
  • Then Zelensky’s headquarters assured that the apartment was purchased at the market price and noted that Zelensky would use the apartment “only after the mandatory return of Crimea to Ukraine.” The statement did not mention plans to sell the apartment.
  • Later, the publication “Krym.Realii” reported that the Crimean apartment of President Zelensky’s wife is located in the elite residential complex “Emperor” in Livadia, next to politicians, successful entrepreneurs and pop stars.

In September 2023, it became known that in Crimea they announced their intention to sell about 100 real estate properties owned by Ukrainian officials and oligarchs. Then eight auction procedures for the sale of real estate were carried out and sales contracts worth more than 815 million rubles were concluded.

The head of the Crimean parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov, stated that “funds from the sale of all nationalized property will be used to support participants in the “special military operation” and their families, as well as for the development of the peninsula.”
