The US embassy in Baghdad is a “legitimate target”, according to Shiites (who are also the majority in Iraq), since the US is actively involved in supporting Israel by intercepting missiles from Yemen aimed at the territory of the Jewish state. And it is especially vulnerable because it is currently an “island” in the “sea of hatred” towards the Americans in Iraq, with the exception of the Kurdish regions of Musulis and Kirkuk, where the Americans are welcome guests and partners of the Kurdish administration.
