Weather forecast for the pre-holiday week

In the week leading up to October 28, the weather in some areas of Greece will worsen, and on St. Demetrius’ Day there will be rain and storms, meteorologist Clearhos Marousakis predicts:

“It looks like bad weather will cross the country from northwest to southeast on St. Demetrius’ Day, bringing rain and occasional localized storms to central, western and northern Greece.”

Brief forecast for the week

On Thursday, rain is expected in the west and north of the country, that is, in the areas of the Ionian Sea, Epirus, western Peloponnese, western Sterea, western parts of Thessaly, as well as western Macedonia. On Friday, severe weather is expected mainly in western Greece and the islands of the eastern Aegean Sea. On October 28, Okha Day, bad weather will prevail in the western and eastern parts of the Aegean Sea. In other regions it will be sunny and warm.

Cloudy in the west with light localized showers in the Ionian Sea early in the morning. In other areas it is clear and partly cloudy. In the morning and evening, visibility will be locally limited, with fog possible. Winds between 3 and 4 on the Beaufort scale. The temperature will reach 26-29°C.

Clear and warm, with local visibility possible in the morning. Wind variable, 3 points on the Beaufort scale. Temperature 18-28°C.

THESSALONIKI

Clear weather with local limited visibility in the morning. Wind variable, 3 points on the Beaufort scale. The air will warm up from 16 to 25°C.

Weather tomorrow, October 24

Clear weather with rare clouds. Local fog and limited visibility in the morning. The wind is northerly, with a force of 3-4 on the Beaufort scale, in the Aegean Sea in some places up to 5. Thermometers will reach 26-29°C during the day.

Weather for Wednesday October 25

Partly cloudy in the morning, thickening clouds in the northwest and localized rain in the afternoon. Sporadic storms are expected in the northern Ionian Sea this evening. In the morning and evening hours, visibility is locally limited.

In the west of the country the wind is southerly, with a force of 3 to 5 Beaufort. In the east, the north wind will gradually change direction and will blow from the south with a force of 4-5 points, in the Aegean Sea in some places up to 6 points. The temperature will rise slightly.

Weather on Thursday October 26

First in the northwest, and then gradually in the rest of the country, cloudy weather, localized rain, and sporadic storms in the west. In other areas it will be cloudy or partly cloudy. In the morning and evening hours, visibility is locally limited and there is fog in places.

The wind in the west is southerly, from 3 to 5 on the Beaufort scale, gradually changing to the west. In the east, the south/southwest wind is from 4 to 6 points, in the Aegean Sea in some places up to 7 points. Temperatures will drop slightly in the northwest.

It will be cloudy in the west and temporarily in the morning in the east of the country, with local rains. In other areas the weather is clear or partly cloudy. The wind is west and southwest, from 4 to 5 points on the Beaufort scale, in the Aegean Sea in some places up to 6 points. The temperature will not change significantly.
